The second final of the day played out between the world’s number 1 mixed doubles pair Huang Yaqiong/Zheng Siwei and the world’s number 13 Dechapol Puavaranukroh/Sapsiree Taerattanachai in a match with plenty of excitement that did not leave the Chinese fans disappointed by the Chinese mixed double. Huang/Zheng won the final convincingly at 21-16, 21-13.

- This match meant a lot to me. I have never won anything in Denmark before, so I am very happy, Zheng Siwei said after the final.

In the first game, Huang/Zheng were in trouble and saw themselves behind 1-5. Soon after they got some momentum and were able to fight back and even out the score. At the break, the Chinese were still behind at 10-11, which only encouraged the Chinese fans to cheer even louder. The combatants followed each other up to the score 15-15 before the Chinese eventually won the game 21-16.

- In the first game we both had a lot of energy, which was the reason for the game going back and forth. In the second game, we managed to improve on the things we can control, said a happy Huang Yaqiong after the final.

In the second game there were two misunderstandings from Huang Yaqiong, but after the two mistakes, the world’s number one played up to their ranking. They quickly took the lead and by the break, the score was 11-6. After the break, the Chinese never looked like losing the final was an option and won 21-13.

They have now won seven tournaments this year and are looking strong before French open.
